Frequently asked questions.
FACE MASKS
How to use your clay face mask?
Start with a Clean Slate.
Wash your face and remove any makeup.Pick Your Perfect Base.
Distilled water works well, but try using cooled green tea, coconut milk, honey, plain yogurt or even avocado puree for an extra treat.Mix It Up.
Combine about one teaspoon of the dry mask with a few drops of your chosen wet base in a bowl. (The amount of dry mask base needed varies according to the thickness of the wet base you choose. A pure liquid base, like water, may require more dry mask base than a thicker base like yogurt, for example.) Stir until it forms a smooth, light paste.Apply and Unwind.
Spread an even layer over your face, steering clear of your eyes and lips. Then, sit back for 10–15 minutes. Sip your favorite drink, chat with friends, or add a little self-care like relaxing with cucumber slices on your eyes, painting your nails, or using a hair mask.Steam and Gently Remove.
For a spa-like finish, place a warm, damp cloth over your face for about one minute. To prevent staining, we recommend using a dark colored face cloth. Then, gently wipe off the mask in small, circular motions, rinsing your cloth as needed. Pat your face dry with a clean towel.Moisturize.
Wait about 15-30 minutes, then follow up with your favorite moisturizer to seal in all the goodness.
CAUTION: Avoid contact with eyes and mouth. Everyone’s skin is unique, so we recommend performing a patch test before use. If irritation, redness, or discomfort occurs, discontinue use immediately. For external use only. Keep out of the reach of children. If swallowed, seek medical attention. Clay has a tendency to stain linens, dark colored cloths are strongly recommended.
